Straight out of Baltimore, Maryland, DEVON HOWARD is keeping it hot. As a singer, songwriter and producer he is a triple threat placing him way ahead of the game. DEVON is walking in the footsteps of some of the most recognized artists our time, all whom have had an impact on his style. Baby Face, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, El DeBarge, Usher and Ne-Yo, all triple threats in their own right. El DeBarge and Babyface were the first male singers he related to vocally. Their smooth, sensual, passionate voices were something he wanted to emulate as a singer but, with his own style. He is also influenced by Michael Jackson’s innovative style and creativity.
DEVON’s style is fresh, edgy, laid back and smooth. He brings a flavor reminiscent of old school but, with a modern twist. He’s had a lifetime of practice. DEVON has been writing songs since childhood. Songwriting comes naturally to him. Inspired by his late father, who was also a songwriter, he grew up listening to his father’s collection: The Manhattans, The Stylistics, and The Commodores. DEVON got his start in the music industry performing with various groups and eventually wrote and performed with the boyband Me 2 U, who recorded their debut CD on the RCA label. The group has appeared on many of the popular music shows including Soul Train, Apollo and BET. SWV and Wendy Williams appeared in the group’s first video and Malcolm Jamal Warner directed the second. Devon also worked with industry vets Ron Fair (Keyshia Cole) and Vincent Herbert (Lady Gaga, Tamar Braxton) on the group’s debut CD. That group later dissolved and Devon went on to record and release music in Europe and Japan.
His single “Other Side of the Bed” from 2015’s CD Return To Love has received Urban AC radio play across the U.S. and on Music Choice and Sirius Satellite radio. The CD was popular on Indie radio and streaming sites worldwide. The new project ‘Morning Son’ released March 5th 2024 is already off to a good start with the first single ‘Forever and Always’, impacting the sales charts in both the US and the UK reaching #1 (April 2022). The follow up single, ‘Your Love Is,’ released May 16, 2022, has also impacted the Urban Influencer radio charts reaching #1 in the UK and the United States. ‘Morning Son’ reached #1 on the Amazon Soul Sales and Best New Releases Charts in the US and #3 on the Amazon R&B Sales Chart in the UK.
DEVON HOWARD is not just a nice guy with a sexy voice. He is the winner of the Heinekin / ASCAP Initiative for Songwriting. Amidst his hectic schedule and all of his accomplishments DEVON HOWARD finds time to give back. He has been an advocate for foster children at Second Home Inc., for well over ten years. And, has put together a compilation CD featuring national and local recording artists to raise money to opening a day shelter for homeless youth and young adults. He has performed for and given donations to various charitable organizations including the Red Cross and America’s Harvest.
DEVON HOWARD is definitely one to keep your eye on. He is Baltimore’s best kept secret and soon the world will be introduced to this class act.

Devon Howard Releases Long-Awaited Album ‘Morning Son’
Windsor Mill, MD - With the success of leading single ‘Forever and Always’ (2022) and the follow up single, ‘Your Love Is,’ (2022) both reaching #1 on The Indie Soul Charts in both The United States and the United Kingdom, and the third single ‘Wherever You Are’ (2023) peaking at #4 in the U.S., Indie R&B, Soul Singer/Songwriter/Producer Devon Howard finally delivers his highly anticipated full-length album Morning Son.
The former member of the 90’s RCA Records R&B boyband Me 2 U is back with another amazing solo project. Performing alongside artists like SWV, Mario, Stephanie Mills and the legendary Dionne Warwick, Devon has taken note from these greats, creating an identifiable sound all his own.
Loaded with good vibes and smooth vocals, this project, the follow up to Devon’s ‘Return to Love’ (2015), continues with timeless stories of love over classic midtempo grooves.
Starting with the steppers remix version of Forever and Always, each song flows seamlessly into the next locking into a steady groove, setting the tone for the album. Five songs in, Devon slows it down with the sensual and sexy ‘You Know (I Want You)’and ‘Holding On.’ The fourth single ‘Oh Love’ gets us back in the groove with this bouncy ode to love. The feelgood vibe continues with ‘I Promise and ‘Moving On,’ ending with two bonus remixes by Debonair Samir.
As a creative artist, Devon understands how important photos and music videos are when adding a visual layer to an artists’ career. Having worked with legendary photographer Timothy White (Whitney Houston, Jay Z) and famed director Chris Robinson (Beyonce, Usher) in the past, for this project he teamed up with the incredibly talented movie and video director, Alvin Gray, creating stunning videos for the first three singles from Morning Son. Also, working with photographers Roy Cox, Lolita Brailey and Al Owen to create dynamic, artistic photographs.
As an Indie Artist, Devon Howard continues to push beyond the current commercial norms, bridging the gap between the old and the new. The upbeat soulful sounds of the 90’s layered over modern music tracks makes ‘Morning Son’ feel fresh and edgy. Just in time for the spring, this project is a vibe from start to finish.
